The Number Of Laptop Users In The World Is Increasing Everyday

The latest Gartner’s projection has put the likely sale of PC at 376.6 million units in 2010. In other words, the quarterly market reviews have estimated that 49.4 million PCs were shipped worldwide in the first 3 months of 2010, and these figures in itself speak volume of the high demand of laptops and netbooks in the world. However, industry experts have also observed a slow decline of netbook sales in certain regions which maybe due to the limited features available in these computing devices.

The cumulative analysis of laptop existing brands shows Hewlett-Packard occupying the top-slot with the highest laptops sale.  Consecutively, the rate of laptops sale grew by 48.4 per cent and 33.1 per cent for Acer laptops and Dell laptops in the second and the third position. Further down the line, in the forth and the fifth places, are Toshiba and Asus laptops, and latter has achieved remarkable sales growth by a whopping 113 per cent. In the words of Ranjit Atwal, principle research analyst at Gartner, “In the downturn, PCs remained the electronic device of choice on which to spend household income in mature markets, and we do not expect this to change either in 2010 or beyond.”
