Kenya to India – How many personal laptops we can carry in AIRPORTS in Mumbai and Nairobi?
Hi, I constantly travel from Kenya to India. I generaly carry one office laptop always during my travel. Now, If I buy one personal Laptop. Will the Airport Authorities allow me? If so, Do i need to carry the 2 laptops with me (or) I need to put one laptop in bag for Check in and carry one laptop instead (or) do i need to put the 2 laptops in the bag for check in? I heard some duty is put, if carrying more than one laptop. Is that So? Both the Laptops are for Personal/Official Use? Do i need to produce any document for the Same to prove it. Further, Which airports generally check such things? Further, Is their any hassles during such bringing 2 laptops from India to Kenya. I almost always have two laptops with me, never a problem. I have them in the same carry-on bag.
You only pay duty if you want to import items into a country, not for items that you use.
