Which is the Best Laptop for Music lover?

Do you need a sophisticated recording machine yet light and mobile? if your answer is ‘yes’, let me then suggest you a few laptops that are optimal for music production, and yes, believe me! they do exist, just you need to know what features to look for. i have been reviewing recording gadgets for years, so please read on, because this is coming for my own personal experience.

Going mobile seems to be the trend these days and so, as an independent song writer my amateur sound engineer myself, i thought about the same for my gadgets. i used to hook my mixers and microphone to an old desktop computer in order to do recording, and so one day i thought to myself, maybe i should replace this old desktop with a sleek laptop, and so i took the risk and tried mac powerbook.

It used to be the case that if you are seriously interested about doing recording at the comfort of your home, you need to set up a studio, and sadly the biggest piece of equipment is a computer or so to say a desktop that is powerful enough to run audio recording/editing software program.

Well as far as i have seen, computer manufactures and sound engineering experts have combining their effort into shrinking the size of recording gadgets, their ultimate aim for now is to squeeze everything into laptops and hence some specialized laptop models have been produced specifically for music production industry. even though the title of this article is “best laptop for music lovers”, it is not about which computer having the strongest in-built speakers that can blast your room flat! i am only going to share about the best laptop for music recording, editing and end production.

let’s face the truth, a computer that cost $500 and owned by school kids won’t get you far in terms of music recording. a typical laptop that is suitable for recording these days may have specification like the following:

processor: intel core i3 2.26 ghz
ram: 4gb
hard disk: sata 5400 rpm
screen: 14″ display – moderate resolution.

With no fancy external ports other than a few extra usb ports.

-few extra usb ports, and at least a firewire port.
