What are the pros and cons of getting a refurbished laptop?

I am thinking of getting a 13.3 inch, 2.66GHz processer Macbook Pro, but although the prices are low, I am not sure what the catch is. There has to be on, doesn’t there? Has it been used before? Is there something wrong internally or externally? I would like to know and all feedback is appreciated. Thank you.

refurbished means ever part has ben tested and is in good working order
when a laptop is bought new and take back for any problem it can not be sold as new the problem is fixed and the laptop goes through through testing before it is sold as refurbished
