Router Configuration for Harmony 880 Remote Control?
I am using DLink Router DIR-825 at my home network. When I try to update my harmony remote control 880, the program keeps telling me to plug in the remote using the USB port. I have tried every port in all my computers at the house and neither one is able to do the remote update. I am able to connect to the logitech website, but I can’t initiate the upload/upgrade to the remote.
I believe this has to do with the firewall on the router itself. However, I cannot find where to enter the logitech URL and I do not even know what to enter as an exception since the program from logitech doesn’t even tell me the IP or URL that I should add as the exception.
Has anyone run through this problem? Can anyone give some guidelines? I would appreciate it a lot.
I am running the latest application from logitech. I have disabled the firewall from my PC and I am trying to add webfilter to allow logitech, but I do not know the URL or IP address where application connects for updates.
Did you update the Harmony s/w on your computer?
First Update the Harmony app on your computer (The one that lets you program your remote)
b) I doubt that the firewall would block a simple connection to Logitech. In any case, it is very simple to turn off the firewall on your PC.
If you still have problems, call Logitech support.
