Best graphic card for a computer to hook up with a flat screen?

If i were to use my 40in flat screen as a computer screen, would i need a better graphic card to keep up with the size?

Generally monitors have just a few more pixels than a regular monitor. On TVs, the pixels are larger (the larger the screen, the larger the pixels). More processing power is not required it just needs to be able to process the same number of pixels.

What you should be looking at is what kind of computer (Apple vs IBM), what kind of operating system you have and if its IBM, is the direct X 9 or the newer Vista direct X 10.

If you plan to play Crysis (which requires IBM Windows Vista using Direct X 10) you will best be using a Geforce 8800 GTX or a 9800 GX2.
